Dive with me into the traditions of Japan… While you are staying in Kyoto, the ancient capital with its thousands of temples and shrines, you must stay in a ryokan, a traditional Japanese accommodation. Here at the Mitsuki Kyoto Ryokan we give you the opportunity to stay in a traditional Japanese house.
We have 2 spaces, one downstairs and one upstairs. Today let me present you our bigger room, the one upstairs. This room can accommodate up to 4 people, suitable for families, honeymoon couples or even for people that just love space. The room is divided into 3 spaces : a large tatami room, a full renovated bathroom and a space with fridge, kettle and teapot.
The tatami room is very cosy as you will love to feel the warm tatami under your feet, you will sleep in a traditional Japanese futon set. Also, we provide a yukata for everybody, a cotton made kimono to relax in the room. The renovated bathroom comes with a great selection of beauty products, such as body soap, shampoo, conditioner, oil for the face, etc. Take some quality time for yourself and enjoy a hot bath after a long day walking around Kyoto. Last but not least, you will find a kettle and a teapot for your teatime with a selection of tea, we can also provide a coffee machine if you are more of a coffee person ! Everything is made for you so that you can feel like it’s your home.
We pay a great attention to the decoration of the room, still, in a very Japanese way. We like to keep it minimalist and we change the decoration depending on the season. So you might enjoy some beautiful paintings, calligraphy, Ikebana and, we love to welcome our guests with fresh flowers.
You will love the peaceful atmosphere around here and feel full of energy in the morning after our traditional Japanese breakfast.
