Our two individually designed Japanese rooms have their own unique names - “Tsuki”, on the first floor, which overlooks onto Toboniwa garden, means “the moon” and our suite “Kumo” on the second floor means “the cloud”.
Both rooms have been recently renovated, retaining the original wood from the 19th century which has beautifully deepened in colour with passing of time. You will find many refined details of Sukiya architecture in each room are rooted in Japanese tea ceremony house. All rooms have individual bathrooms with shower, toilets, sitting area and other amenities.
Room 1 Tsuki “the moon” accommodates 2 people and room 2 Komo “the cloud” is for 2-3 people. We could host up to 6 people when you hire the whole house.

Tsuki (The Moon)
The room has 6 tatami mats with views of the garden and has elegance of Japanese tea ceremony house. You will feel the spirits of Wabi Sabi, rustic simplicity, quietness and old beauty hidden in the natural materials in this room. Slide open the shoji door to enjoy a view of the Japanese stoned garden lit up at night. The bathroom and toilet are renovated in modern style for your comfortable stay.

Kumo (The Cloud)
Kumo the cloud, occupies the whole second floor, has features of Sukiya style. Sukiya is japanese elegant living space with elements of tea house which only can be built by highly skilled carpenters with special knowledge. Enjoy authentic and historic atmosphere which you can experience only in Japan. The bathrooms, toilets and the sitting area are newly renovated for guest’s comfortable stay.
